Here's everything you need to know about how to get involved with HOMED this year and what we have coming up over the next few weeks.

Give It A Go: Sunday 20 October
Our GIAG Sandwich run will take place on Sunday 20 October between 1pm and 3pm. More information to follow!
World Homeless Day and Hostel Training: Thursday 10 October
We will be holding a World Homeless Day speaker and information event at the university. Speakers from some of the organisations we work with will be coming to chat about homelessness as a wider issue. During this event we will also be holding our hostel training which is a requirement for volunteering at any of our four hostels. Many of you have already completed the online training. Please come along to the training evening anyway if you can. Further details of the event will be published on our Facebook page.
Coordinator roles
Finally, we are looking to recruit several coordinators for our hostel visits and sandwich runs. Our coordinators are asked to attend visits roughly once every three weeks. They have an input in the organisation of the visits and will really get to know hostel residents. You will also be part of the wider committee. This means you are welcome to come along to the committee meetings if you would like to (but are not obligated) and will also be invited to committee socials! If you are interested in becoming a coordinator you can drop us an email. We will also advertise this on Facebook at a later date.
