A Successful Start to the Year!

Thank you SO much to everyone who came to our Give It A Go last Friday, and the Hostel training session on Monday.... we had a record number of people attend each event which is fantastic! It really is amazing to see so many students being proactive and getting involved with projects helping their local community... as we said at both these events our primary goal at Homed is to help the homeless of Leeds, but our secondary goal is to engage students so they can see a different side to the city they live in and challenge their perceptions of homelessness. Please keep an eye out on our events page for the first hostel visit sign ups which will be starting very soon.

If you haven't had a chance to get involved yet, don't worry! We will be running a number of events over the semester, as well as the weekly projects, so there is plenty of opportunity for you to join in. Our first social is going to be on the 25th October in Old Bar, where we'll be holding a pub quiz... so come on down to meet the rest of the society and have a go at winning some prizes!
